Arrest Criminals Who Set Fire to a Shop In Nugegoda
A shop belongs to a Muslim located at Vijayarama Mawatta in Nugegoda was set on fire last night.
Minister of Industry and Commerce Rishad Bathiudeen visited the scene this morning and enquired details from the owner and spoken to Law and Order Minister Sagala Ratnayake. Further, he spoke to the OIC of the Nugegoda Plice Station.
He said this is not the first occasion where a shop is set on fire but on three times same type of shop burning done in Nugegoda. This type of communal destruction can only be avoided by keeping the police alert. He has told Sagala that the Government has given several promises to the Muslim society but the criminals have not stopped their activities against the Muslim society .
Continuously Muslims are targeted and they are living under mortal fear . Their property are being ransacked. Hence, Muslims began losing confidents in the Government. Minister requested Sagala to take precautionary measures to avoid re current of this nature.
