President Calls For a Report on Qatar…..

Followed by seven Arab nations have severed political links with Qatar alleging that it harbours international terrorists and funds Islamic extremism, Qatar is facing sanctions.

There are 3.5 million expatriates  employed in Qatar and 150,000 Sri Lankans are among them. All reported to have been facing  difficulties.

Concerned President Maithripala Sirisena has ordered Ministers Ravi Karunanayake and Thalatha Athukorala to submit a complete report, at the next  Cabinet meeting on 13 June, on all issues  faced by Sri Lankans living in Qatar .
