Gota Denies Any BBS Links & Burning of Muslim Shops

Some websites have claimed  that the former Defence Secretary and a powerful Cabinet minister are sheltering Bodu Bala Sena(BBS)  General Secretary Galagodaaththe Gnanasara Thera , who is facing Police Arrest for inciting religious-based violence.

In a statement issued this morning former Defence Secretary Gotabhaya Rajapaksa has categorically denied and rejected  claims linking his name with the Bodu Bala Sena(BBS) in connection with the atrocious burning of Muslim owned shops in the recent past .

The statement  reads   ‘’I strongly condemn the false story published irresponsibly by a website renowned for spreading fake news, linking my good name with the Bodu Bala Sena (BBS) and Hon. Minister for Justice, Mr. Wijedasa Rajapaksa, I strongly deny such allegations and decry the attempt to tarnish my reputation once again’’.
