Free of Charges New Driving Licence in Placed of Flood Destroyed One

Deputy Minister of Transport Asoka Abeyasinghe said, having considered the plight of those flood/ landslide victims lost  their driving licence in the disaster,  a new licence will  be issued  without imposing  any charges.

What they have to do is to submit an  application  with the  copy of the  police entry made along with the Grama Sevaka’s certificate . It will be  issued free of charges . Cost  will be absorbed  by the state. A cabinet paper will be submitted and approval obtained , he concluded.
