Digital Audio Broadcast is yet to take off the ground except a few adapt it. In the meantime, the Director General of the Government Information Department Dr. Ranga Kalansooriya says an independent commission will be established to regulate digital media.
He is of the view that a digital media regulatory commission is required to prevent media institutions from violating the code of ethics.
He said recommendations in this regard will be made available to the public.
