Permission Granted to Tissa to Go Abroad

Tissa Attanayake was arrested and remanded for allegedly preparing a fraudulent document, was granted bail on December 05, 2016. He is accused of forging the signatures of Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe and President Maithripala Sirisena in a letter. Attanayake, who defected from the then opposition and was made Health Minister for less than three weeks, is accused of fabricating the document to discredit the witnesses of the case.
Followed by this, the Colombo High Court has temporarily lifted the travel ban imposed on former UNP General Secretary Tissa Attanayake.
The court allowed Attanayake to travel abroad following a request made though a Counsel when the case was taken into consideration today(20).
He had sought permission to travel abroad  to visit his daughter from June 23 to July 12.
