Future of SriLankan Airlines Decision on July 30th
The Government of Srilanka has earlier announced that it was considering operating the Srilankan airlines on the basis of a public-private-partnership, so that it could be turned into a profit-making venture.
Followed by this development, some airlines have had informal talks with the Sri Lankan Government on partnering the national carrier.
Under these circumstances the International Monetary Fund (IMF said to have insisted a decision should be taken without further delay.
Government sources said, they would decide whether to covert Srilankan into a public-private- partnership, a State-owned venture or to privatize it and reveal its decisions through public statement on 30th July 2017
