Western Province Bus Operators Issue Tickets Or Face 1 Month Suspension?

The Western Province Passenger Transport Authority Chairman o Thusitha Kularatne said, the public have lodged many complaints in connection with the non issuing of tickets, paying bance money etc. he said  there are around 6000 buses operating with licenses from the Western Province Passenger Transport Authority. Licenses to operate buses were given on the understanding that the private bus operators will abide by a certain set of regulations.

If they continue to ignore the basis requirement of issuing ticket to passengers, their operating route licenses will be cancelled for a month, he concluded.
