Arrest of Gota Leads to Political Storm in the Country

A Sinhala Srilanka press published a news item that former defence secretary Gotabhaya Rajapaksa will be arrested shortly in connection with the financial irregularity in allocating state funds to erect D.A.Rajapakshe tomb.

Two popular ministers reported to have been behind the  move and the Attorney General department has shown the green light for the arrest, press revealed.

Meanwhile this matter was discussed  in  the meeting of SLFP Ministers and Members of Parliament  held under the chairmanship of President Maithripala Sirisena on Wednesday (12). Minister Dilan Perera said to have stated at this meeting that Rajapashas still have large scale followers and the arrest of Gotabhaya would lead to a massive political storm in the country.
