Wimal Alleges Air Commodore Dassanayake Arrested to Satisfy Visiting UN Official

National Freedom Front leader , MP Wimal Weerawansa visited former Navy spokeman Air Commodore Dissanayake , at National hospital, where he was detained and obtaining treatment for his illness. He enquired about his health and spoke to the media .He alleged that Air commodore Dissanayake was arrested and detained to satisfy visiting UN official. He made this statement on Saturday (15) morning.

It is relevant to mention here that former Navy Spokesman was arrested and detained after obtaining a court order.CID said that he was suspected to be involved in abduction of nine students in Kotahena and suburbs to abstract money from parents. After the abduction they disappeared. CID was able to track down events that followed the abduction.
