Colombo High Court Issued Notice on President & Prime Minister…..

A case was filed in the Colombo high court by the police against former General Secretary of the United National Party for allegedly displaying a bogus  document to the public, which  supposed to have been an agreement between Maithripala Sirisena  and Ranil Wickremasinghe on the verge of last Presidential election. This bogus document was displayed in a press conference.

When the case was taken up for inquiry earlier, the complainants, Maithripala Sirisena and Ranil Wickremasighe were noticed to appear in the court. But the lawyers appearing on behalf of them informed the court that due to other important official duties, they were unable to attend the court.

Again when the case was taken up today (17), the Colombo High Court decided to hear the case from 4^th to 12^th August and ordered to notice Maithripala Sirisena and Ranil Wckremasinghe to appear before the court.
