Loin Clothed National Farmers Front Demonstration in Colombo

In order to register their protest against subsidies to farmers, cancellation of compensation for crop failure, non issue of fertilizer subsidy and not fixing reasonable price for harvests, National Farmers Front has decided to hold a demonstration protest in Colombo with loin  cloth on the 26 th July  . Farmers from all districts including North and East will participate in this lion clothed farmers protest demonstration, said organizers.

After staging this protest in front of the Fort Railway Station, they planned to meet President Maithripala Sirisena? and submit a memorandum about their problem. If the Government fails to respond to this demonstration, future demonstrations will be organized on District level basis, they said.
