Cocaine Detected in Sugar Container Which Brought Sugar to Ratmalana Sathosa Ware House.

It has been the practice adopted by the Sathosa to call tenders weekly and purchase sugar from successful renderer. Accordingly during this week @Ransitha Private Limited won the tender. When the sugar container brought by this company to the Ratmalana Sathosa Ware House was subjected to check by Sathosa employees, they found some suspected parcels.So they informed the higher authorities.

The Sathosa Chairman, D.M.K.P.Tennakone said, that in the sugar packed container, which was brought from Colombo Port to Ratmalana Sathosa Ware House, 10 different type of suspicious parcels were found. Immediately Galkissa Police was called and the container handed over to them for further investigations.
Subsequently, investigations done revealed that each suspicious parcel contained 16 kilogram of cocaine totalling to 160 kilogram.
