Duminda is Certain That No SLFP MP Will Leave Govt
Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) General Secretary and Agriculture Minister Duminda Dissanayake, while responding to a question by a journalist about speculation that 18 SLFP Parliamentarians are planning to leave the government shortly said, he was certain that no SLFP Parliamentarian will leave the Government. He said this in a press conference held yesterday(20) in Colombo.
Further he said, there is no need to get panic or alarmed about this at this juncture as the bipartite agreement between the UNP and SLFP expires only in December 2017.
He added that the political stability of any country is a key factor for attracting foreign investments.
It is natural to have disputes within any political party. The SLFP is not an exception. It doesn’t mean that the Government is unstable. He invited the media to be fair and impartial in reporting disputes between parties of the Government.
