Determining Meeting of the United Government Under the Leadership of President & Prime Minister on 24th

A meeting is arranged on Monday, the 24 th at Temple Trees to determine the future of the united government, which will be presided by the President and the Prime Minister. All government members of parliament belong to the UNP and SLFP are invited to participate in this meeting. In the recent past Joint opposition and a few members of the government side had held secret talks and disclosed to the media that this government will be short-lived. One of the joint Opposition MP Dullas Alagaperuma gave two weeks time. To put a full stop to these loose talks in the political field, President Maithripala Sirisena is expected to announce a decision on either to renew the Memorandum Of Understanding (MOU) signed between the UNP and the SLFP or allow it to lapse. As the President has not participated in the meeting conducted in the Temple trees, the SLFP members avoided attending it and only the UNP members attended it in the past.
