Husband & wife behind Malabe blunder arrested

 

A woman who got into an argument last night (14) with traffic police officers near the SLIIT at Malabe was arrested this morning (15), police said. Her husband has also been arrested for letting her drive the car as he claimed that his wife was suffering from a mental disorder.

Police said that the woman has started threatening the policemen after they had warned her for driving with her child on her lap. The woman has also taken off a helmet belonging to a police officer after threatening them.

Police said that the arrested woman and her husband were produced before the Kaduwela Magistrate Court and were remanded till 28 July.
