Sourav Ganguly Hopes the Indian Premier League Recovers From Betting Scandal

 

Former India captain Sourav Ganguly insisted it was possible for the lucrative Indian Premier League to “get back on track” following a betting scandal that saw two of its eight teams dramatically suspended yesterday.

A panel appointed by India’s Supreme Court made the shock decision to ban the Chennai Super Kings, led by India one-day international captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Rajasthan Royals, skippered by Australia’s Steven Smith, for 2 years from the lucrative T20 franchise tournament to protect “the integrity of the game”.
