Debate on No Confidence Motion Against Ravi to be Decided by the Speaker 

Parliament Secretary General of Staff Attorney Neil Iddawela has said, that any motion of this nature submitted against a member of parliament, must be   carefully examined  by the speaker to determine its compliance and authenticity. Once this process is completed,  the speaker of parliament  will arrive at a decision on its legitimacy to  include in the order paper for debate.
Thereafter, that the motion should be translated and submitted in Sinhalese, Tamil and English . The motion submitted by the JO will be documented as an undated motion.  Hence , the  possibilities that after a lapse of 7 days, the motion may be discussed in parliament.  further stated that Secretary General of Staff Iddawela later stated that the motion of no-confidence will be debated at the next committee meeting, said Secretary General of Staff Attorney Neil Iddawela.
In view of above facts, the hearing of the motion of no-confidence against Foreign Minister Ravi Karunanayake will be delayed by 08 days.
