Another Affidavit submitted Against Uma Oya project in the Supreme Court

As the Uma Oya project has been started without any environmental assessment and caused much damage to the property and building of villages which has changed the lifestyle of them 4 villagers in Bandarawela have submitted an affidavit to the Supreme Court today requesting to issue an order to culminate the Uma Oya project immediately.

When  the previous affidavit submitted by the villagers was taken up today for inquiry the attorney general had not presented the relevant reports regarding the project which he had promised to present it today.

The tri-personal committee of Judges ordered to present the reports within the day and decided to call the hearing on August 29 again.
