Eastern University Closed

 A tense situation had prevailed at the Eastern University on August 8 when a large group of students surrounded the university’s administrative building ‘Senate House’ and held it’s Vice Chancellor captive.

Deputy Vice Chancellor Dr. K. E. Karunakaran said, that Eastern University have been closed indefinitely from today due to an unsettled condition prevailing at the University.

Issuing an immediate notice by the University Council, all students were asked to leave the premises by 12.00 noon by tomorrow.

The Students in all Hostels were asked to vacate their rooms and handover their keys to the respective Warden or Sub-warden on departure.
