LG Election Gazette Notification in October or November  – Mahinda Amaraweera

UPFA General Secretary Minister Mahinda Amaraweera said, that the Local Government Election bill  is expected to be presented in Parliament in September and get it approved.  Followed by that the Local Government Election gazette notification will be issued in October or November 2017.

He further said, that the Election Commission will be able to announce  the election date after the gazette  notification.   Most probably Local Government Election will be conducted in January 2018.
