Some Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) Ministers, who have met President Maithripala Sirisena day before yesterday(22), requested him to take disciplinary action against six SLFP members , who have defected and joined Joint Opposition thereby acting against decisions taken by the SLFP Central Committee and the common stance of the party. Further for challenging the leadership of President Maithripala Sirisena and criticizing the decision of the SLFP.
Hence, the proposal to take disciplinary action against them will be taken up at the next Central Working Committee meeting of the SLFP .
Accordingly, disciplinary action is proposed against Prasanna Ranatunga, Ranjith Soyza, Pavithra Wannirachchi, Rohitha Abeygunawardena, Kumara Welgama and Dilum Amunugama.
