LG Elections Bill to be Signed by Speaker Today

Local Government Elections Bill  was passed  in Parliament  with 120 members of Parliament voted in favour,  while 44 Parliamentarians of the Joint Opposition abstained from voting.

The Speaker’s media unit said the draft bill will be signed by the Speaker Karu Jeyasuriya  at the premises of the Parliamentary Complex today (31).
