Damage Controlling SLFP CC  Meeting to  Defuse Crisis Situation

According to reports received a few ministers had decided to quit the government and cross over to the opposition. Against this backdrop the  Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) has decided to call  for  a Central Committee (CC) meeting to discuss  this crisis situation. Party leader President Maithripala Sirisena is expected to meet all SLFP MPs of the government at this CC meeting.

The Unity Government, which is made up of the United National Party (UNP) and the SLFP, has completed two years in office.
