UN General Assembly to be Addressed  by President on  19th September

72nd General Assembly of the United Nations (UN) will be held at the UN Headquarters in New York from September 17 to 23. The session will open with a focus on the theme, ‘Focusing on People: Striving for Peace and a Decent Life for All on a Sustainable Planet’.

The Sri Lankan delegation will leave tomorrow (16) . For the third time President is due to address the General Assembly in the evening of September 19.

The President will also meet several leaders including Prime Ministers of Pakistan and Nepal for discussions on bilateral relations and international issues’, Senior Media Director to the President Dharma Sri Bandara Ekanayaka said.
