SL  Follows International Laws Regarding Myanmar Refugees

Minister of Internal Affairs and North West Development S.B Navinna issued a statement yesterday  regarding Rohingya Muslim from Myanmar . The statement reads’’that  the Srilanka follows international laws as from the year 2010 up to date in respect of refugees.   In the past Rohingya refugees  came to Srilanka in three boats.  They were arrested and produced in the Court .  However, UNHRC  came forward  to take over them .Hence, they will be handed over after following the legal procedure . Out of the refugees handed over to them,  some refugees were taken to other countries in two stages.  Only the Rohingya refugees,  who came last is now maintained by the UNHRC Refugees,  who was struggling in the sea in the year 2008, 2013 and 2017 were rescued by Srilanka Navy . Rohingya refugees in Srilanka will be sent out through UNHRC.
