Prison Doctor’s  Work Boycott Abandoned

Doctors attached to Prison were on work boycott over a week  demanding that the Acting Chief Medical Officer should be transferred out and a permanent  Chief Medical Officer appointed in place of her.

As the Former Acting Chief Medical Officer Nirmaly Thenuwara was transferred  to the Colombo National hospital and Doctor Malwathage appointed  to the post of Chief Medical Officer of the prison hospital,  they have abandoned their work boycott from yesterday.
