Sri Lanka Police have so far arrested over 60 people in election related incidents, Police Media Spokesman ASP Ruwan Gunasekera said.
According to the Police Media Spokesman 60 people were arrested up to Sunday since the day elections was announced after the dissolution of the parliament. They were involved in 46 election related incidents.
The police divisions where those election related incidents were reported are investigating the incidents, the spokesman said.
Meanwhile, the reports of investigations into incidents of holding processions on the final day of handing over nominations will be handed over to the Attorney General tomorrow, the spokesman said.
