JO Poised to Protest Demanding Government to Protect State Resources.

Member of the Joint Opposition United People’s Freedom Alliance Parliamentarian Namal Rajapaksa while addressing a gathering in Ambalanthota said, that a massive protest will be launched in Hambantota from the 6th of October, demanding the government to protect state resources.

He noted an area similar to, half the size of the Tissamaharama division will be sold to international companies adding that the government is firm on its decision.

He further said, the country has to stand against this move adding that the Joint Opposition will launch a protest and demand the government to retract this agreement.

The Joint Opposition called on all the patriotic people in this country to come to the Hambanthota town on the 6th adding that the gathering will voice its concerns. This government should stop selling state resources adding that the country’s economy is in shambles and the cost of living has sky-rocketed. Joint Opposition demands this government to stop these activities, he concluded.
