The Government Medical Officers’ Association (GMOA) Secretary Dr. Haritha Alutge while speaking to reporters at the GMOA Headquarters in Colombo yesterday said, GMOA has called off its strike scheduled for 6th October after the government acquiesced to demands and cancelled a post-intern appointment list that did not have Tender Board approval.
He further said, their scheduled strike for 6th October was called off after the Health Ministry conveyed its willingness to draw up a new post-intern list, with Tender Board approval.
