Mahinda Cancelled His Japan Trip  Halfway &  Returns to the Island Tomorrow

While former President Mahinda Rajapaksa  in Japan  on a private visit, he was informed that his son Namal Rajapaksa was arrested and taken to  Tangalle prison.

On hearing this bad news,  he has cancelled  his scheduled stay in Japan and returning to the island  tomorrow to go to Tangalle prison to see his son. He returns to the island  to take necessary steps  to get  Namal released from prison.

It is relevant to mention  that Namal  was ordered to be in remand  prison till 16^th  October.
