All most all main roads leading to Colombo have experienced heavy traffic jam due to the reason that more vehicles have been put on road becauses of the railway strike. Number of private vehicles on Colombo roads have increasd significently. Even the cross roads fromthe main roads faced traffic jam. In Union Place, Ratmalana and Galle Road areas vehicles are moving on a slow pace.
Commuters complains that it take the double the time to go to their destination. Officers working in Government as well as in private sector are badly affected .
In the meantime, railway unions announced the strike launched by them from last evening will continue and Unabatedly.
