Joint Opposition Parliamentary Group MPs Raided Tangalle Prison?

MP Namal Rajapakshe and five other Members of Parliament were arrested when they called over at the Hambantota Police Station in response to a police summon. They were called to the police to inquire and record their statements regarding a protest demonstration carried out by them against leasing mattala Airport on lease to India.
They were produced before the Magistrate and ordered them to be in remand till 16th October 2017. They are in Tangalle prison now.
Joint Opposition Parliamentary Group MPs comprising Dinesh Gunawardena,Janaka Wakumbura,Prasanna Ranatunga, Dulus Alagaperuma, C.B.Ratnayake and  Kanchna Wijeyasekera went in a group to Tangalle prison to see Namal and other comrades yesterday  (11).
