A Facebook Love bird  when Trapped Attempted Suicide

A youth fell in love with a girl through facebook. Parents of the girl didn’t like the relationship. They thought of teaching the youth a lesson. They placed the trap. They made use of another girl impersonating as his lover and invited him to come to the  Nilwala Ganga bridge in Matara to discuss about their future live plan. Youth without knowing anything came to the designated place. A girl with the similar look of his lover approached him. By the time relative of his lover  started shouting “ Hora , Hora, Hora” (Thief)  . Those who gathered there tried to attack him . In an excitement he jumped into the Nilvala Ganga.

The OIC of the Matara police traffic division, P.P.Sudusinghe and few youths jumped into the Nilvala Ganga and rescued the youth.

Rescued youth has told police that in order to escape from girl’s relations and the crowd attack and due to shame, he tried to jump into the Nilvala Ganga and end his life.
