Local Government Election Will Be Delayed

Minister SB Dissanayake while  speaking at an event held in Kandy said,  there is a possibility that the Local Government Election will be delayed till February.

 He said, that a delay could arise due to the formation of new Pradeshiya Sabha in Nuwara Eliya and Maskeliya and due to the election delay at two Pradeshiya Sabha in the Eastern Province as well.

He further said the issues can be solved within 2-3 weeks  that the election will be held in February .
