Colombo University Arts Faculty Closed Again

The Administration of  Colombo University today (23) announced that the Arts Faculty of Colombo University will be closed again until further notice, following a clash between two student groups.

Accordingly, The Vice Chancellor issued an order to all students to refrain from entering the Arts Faculty premised till further notice. An investigation into the incident was conducted by the Faculty Council and the report will be handed over to Colombo University Vice Chancellor Professor Lakshman Dissanayke.

However, the Faculty Council has not yet announced that the Arts Faculty can be re-opened, said the Vice Chancellor.

In the meantime , the Vice Chancellor is due to summon the Faculty Council tomorrow (24) and a final decision regarding the re-open of Arts Faculty will be taken at the meeting.
