PSD Ill treated Opposition Leader in a disgraceful manner?

A Sinhala media has reported that the Leader of the Opposition R.Sampanthan was ill treated by the Presidential Security Division staff during National Deepawali Celebrations held in the Temple Trees.
Leader of the opposition enjoys all the rights and privileges granted to a Cabinet Minister. Opposition Leader R.Sampanthan was invited by the President to participate in the National Deepawali Celebration held in the Temple Trees. When he went there to attend the ceremony, instead of giving him a warm welcome, PSD men first carried out a thorough body check on him. Followed by it, scanner machine used to check bombs was brought and he was subjected to that check too. But due to technical defect scanner machine didn’t work. He was allowed to go in. But in no time he was asked to come back to do the scan check again. Media reported that he participated in this ceremony with the pain of mind. Further, it reported a Senior Tamil Leader at his old age should not have been ill treated and disgraced by the PSD men.
Will those responsible for this incident open their eyes and ensure no repetition of this nature is befalling on leader of the opposition in future?
