Attempt to Absorb CBK to Parliament Through National List?

Top figures in the UPFA are attempting to attract Kumaratunga to enter parliamentary politics again. Political sources revealed that a secret discussion is being taking place to appoint former President Chandrika Bandaranayake Kumaratunga to Parliament on the nationalist. Already a UPFA national list MP has expressed willingness to resign, paving the way for Kumaratunga’s entry.

This development came at the time, when the SLFP is at talks to get Ex President MahindaRajapaksa and other MPs in the Joint Opposition to get back to the party. Kumaratunga is presently the Attanagalle organizer , an MP position is to negate the political imbalance that is likely in the party in the event Rajapaksa and others return to its fold.
