Traffic Congestion at Battaramulla Junction

Heavy traffic congestion has been reported at the Battaramulla junction and the surrounding areas due to a Ceylon Teachers’ Service Union protest march in front of the Ministry of Education.

CTSU members carry out this protest demonstration against the lack of monetary allowances provided to teaching staff.

Motorists are advised by police to use alternate routes.
