Security Threat to Mahinda Additional Security Requested

Former President Mahinda Rajapakshe’s security division officials stated that Mahinda Rajapaksa is going to engage actively canvassing for the local government election. He will be spear heading the campaign of Srilanka Podujana Peramuna and involve in meeting and discussing with the people.

Hence , his security division see security threat to him and the party men during the campaign. A Colombo media has revealed it. Providing additional security is done only after security threat assessment is done by the Ministry of Defence.
