Rishad’s New Project to  Protect Environment

Project  Management division of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce has organized  an event in Colombo to provide fund assistance to small scale and micro factories  numbering over 5,000 to  regulate, control and manage waste disposal  without causing harm to environment.   This fund assistance is arranged through 9 commercial banks  and  11 leading financial institutions.

Minister of Industry and Commerce Rishad Bathiudeen  participated  as the Chief guest in this event  said thus’’ small scale and micro industrial factories do not receive sufficient funds to regulate, control  and manage waste disposal. Hence, we have decided to provide fund assistances under small scale and micro industrial factory loan project. Fund assistance  given  by the government will contribute in a long way to protect environment. While developing industries  we should be concerned about environment’’ said Minister Rishad.
