JVP Introduces Code of Ethics to its Candidates

In order to produce well-disciplined and environmentally people friendly politicians in the country, the Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP) had introduced a code of ethics to be followed by all its candidates seeking to contest at the forthcoming local government elections.
Parliamentarian and the JVP Propaganda Secretary Vijitha Herath said, it had been made mandatory for all candidates to adhere to this code. A meeting will be held on December 17 at the Sugathadasa Indoor Stadium, in Colombo under the leadership of party leader Anura Kumara Dissanayake to brief all the candidates about this code of ethics among other matters.
Religious clergy and intellectuals are scheduled to participate and contribute in this briefing session.
