VIDEO: Patali Challenges Rajapaksa to Reveal Truth about ‘Deals’ With LTTE
United National Front for Good Governance (UNFGG) General Secretary Patali Champika Ranawaka on Wednesday (22) challenged former president Mahinda Rajapaksa to make a public statement on whether his government gave public money to LTTE in 2005.
Addressing a rally held in Homagama, Ranawaka also stated that Rajapaksa bribed LTTE during the Mavil Aru battle asking not to attack the members of Rajapaksa family when thousands of soldiers were sacrificing their lives.
“Rajapaksa gave Rs. 8000 lakhs using Tsunami funds through Emil Kanthan to LTTE. He even sent his secretary to Kilinochchi for discussions with Tamil tigers. If he truly loves a country which is free from terrorism why did he do so? ”Ranawaka questioned
“If he claims these facts to be false, Rajapaksa can file a case in front of the courts and I’m ready to prove them” Ranawaka challenged Rajapaksa.
