A Protest Demonstration by Postal Employees Today

Due to changes in recruitment in Postal Department, a majority of employees attached to the Postal Department have been deprived of their privileges. No solution has been provided so far although the responsible parties have been informed, Co-convener of the Postal Front K.M. Chinthaka Bandara said.

Hence , the Joint Postal Trade Unions Front will launch a protest demonstration in front of the Central Mail Exchange at Colombo today (18).

If the authorities fail to address their issues within a period of two weeks, the Postal trade Unions will launch a continuous strike, the co-convener said.
