Weather Forecast For 21st December 2017

Due to a wavy type atmospheric disturbance in the vicinity of Sri Lanka, cloudy skies and showery conditions are expected further.

Showers will occur at times in the Northern, North-central, Eastern, Southern and Uva provinces and Matale district.

Showers or thundershowers may occur at several places elsewhere particularly after 2.00pm.

Fairly heavy falls (above 75mm) can be expected at some places in Eastern, Sabaragamuwa,Southern and Uva provinces and in the Kalutara district.

Fairly strong gusty wind (50 kmph) can be expected in North-central and Central province and Hambanthota, Monaragala and Matara districts.

There may be temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers. General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by lightning activity.
