Upcountry Train Services Affected

As a result of a big stone fallen on the railway track early in the morning today (21), near 161/12 mile post at Ginigama, Bandarawela train services to the upcountry is badly affected. The night mail train which left Colombo Fort last night (20) was compelled to end its journey only up to Bandarawela.

Udarata Menike scheduled to travel from Badula to Colombo today (21) was cancelled. Railway authorities said, steps have been taken to restore the services back to normal shortly.
