Danger Ahead for Mahinda Group?

While addressing a meeting in Matara in the South Minister of Finance and Media Mangala Samaraweera said, that the opposition and the people are asking why punishment is not meted out to those involved in the Central Bank bond scam. Those who asked this question should first understand that this government has appointed the Presidential Commission to probe the Central Bank bond issue and the prime Minister Ranil Wickremasinghe volunteered to clarify matters before the commission and appeared before it.
Hence, follow up action will be taken by the Attorney General to prosecute those who are found responsible for the crime. Another matter I wish to bring to the notice of the public is that an investment made through Greek bond during Rajapakshe regime had caused 8,475 billion losses to the Srilanka government. All these matters are being probed. People ask how long this probe will go on. This is a good governance government. We cannot prosecute people according to the whims and fancies of those who govern. It will be done in a legal manner. Hell over lot of files is piled up in the attorney general department. Already cases have been filed against Shiranthi, Bsil, Namal and Yoshitha. More cases will be filed against killers and fraudsters of the previous regime.  Definitely culprits will be brough to book, he concluded it.
