JO to Hold a Special Meeting to Iron Out Differences & Take Affirm Stand on Bond Report.

A special meeting is scheduled to be held today between the leaders of the Joint Opposition. JO MP Dullas Alahapperuma said, there cannot be issues between candidates of the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna. It was observed that there was competition amongst candidates of the Podujana Peramuna adding certain candidates of the list claim candidates of certain division are not of the same caste. Alahapperuma stressed during the election campaign such issues should not exist adding different castes do not exist in an election claiming everyone belongs to the “Mahinda cast”.

Hence, issues of this nature should be resolved forthwith. Meanwhile ,Parliamentarian Udaya Gammanpila said the meeting will focus on the report issued by the Presidential Commission of Inquiry to Investigate into the Issuance
of Treasury Bonds.

MP The MP said everyone in the party should fight together to receive a favourable decision which will decide if fertilizer will be provided at 350 rupees again on the 10th of February.
