Court of Appeal decided to hear petitions against rejected nominations

The 2018 Local Government election  will be held on the 10th of February with the exception  the election for the bodies that have legal implications. Eight petitions were   filed in the appeal court  against the rejection of the nominations for the  2018 local government election.

The Court of Appeal today (10) decided to hear  all eight petitions filed against the rejection of nominations filed. In this connection the  Appeal Court will hear the petitions filed by the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna on Monday (15).

The order was issued by the Chairman of the Appeals Court LTB Dehideniya and Justice Shirani Gunaratne while  the petition filed against the rejection of nomination filed for the Maharagama Urban Council was taken up this morning.
