Weather Forecast For 1st February 2018

Showers or thundershowers will occur in Western, Sabaragamuwa and Uva provinces and in Galle, Matara and Nuwara-Eliya districts particularly after 2.00pm.

A few showers   may occur in Batticaloa, Hambantota and Ampara districts during in the morning.

Fairly heavy falls (about 75mm) can be expected at some places in the Ratnapura and Galle districts.

Fairly strong gusty winds (up to 40 kmph) can be expected in the Coastal areas from Mannar to Colombo.

There may be temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers. General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by lightning activity.
